Functional Responsibilities

General Responsibilities of the CLME+ Environmental Mapping & Reporting Analyst (EMRA): Within the settings of the UNOPS-managed CLME+ Regional Project Coordination Unit (PCU), and while giving due attention and consideration to:

    • the tasks and responsibilities of other CLME+ Coordination Unit staff 
    • the responsibilities delegated to, and mandates of CLME+ Partner organizations
    • relevant programmes, projects and initiatives of the members of the CLME+ Partnership;

The CLME+ Environmental Mapping & Reporting Analyst (EMRA) will work together with the CLME+ Regional Project Coordinator (RPC) and other CLME+ Project Unit staff, as instructed/requested by the RPC, on the short, medium- and long-term planning, and overall day-to-day coordination and execution of aspects of the CLME+ Project related to:

    • The monitoring & evaluation of the CLME+ Project and SAP
    • The production of the “State of the Marine Ecosystems & associated Living Resources” report & digital data & information portals (as applicable)
    • The monitoring & evaluation of CLME+ sub-projects

In this context, the EMRA will be expected to coordinate and collaborate (incl. through the organization of workshops, and the daily use of both traditional and innovative communication means) with numerous regional and global organizations, including but not limited to: UNEP/UNEP CEP, FAO-WECAFC, UNDP, IOC of UNESCO, CRFM, OSPESCA, OECS, INVEMAR.
